Walasmulla Divisional Secretariat

1. Divisional Secretariat Division on the North.
2. Weeraketiya Divisional Secretariat Division on the East.
3. Okewela Divisional Secretariat Division on the South 
4. The border of Matara Distric on the West.

King Wlagamba who faild from the battle, ha hidden in this area for a long period of time . Then this area was a dense forest. So this area was Called "Wahanmulla " After , it became Walasmulla.

According to this relief the easten part of this area is plain while the southern part of this area is plain while the southern part is a wrinkly spread from east tothe west. The heigh of these mountain range are more than 2500 feet. the easten part of the division shows the wet climatic features and other parts of the division shows the dry climaltic features. 

There can be seen cinemon and coconot cultivation as the small land. As well as small garden and home garden can be seen in this area. Not only those cultivation but paddy cultivation alsa has spreaded in this area. 

In addition banana, Mangoes, Jak and bread fruit are grown in walasmulla area and agriculture is the main economic activity. The population of the division in 2008 is 42930. Out of this,more than half is women It is 21816.
